Sprinting a Marathon

I swear sometimes I feel like I am sprinting a marathon. Fall and back to school always feel like being shot out of a cannon. I’m excited and love it but I never feel ready. Since mid August the demands on life have be non stop. Honestly its been like pushing back a ton of tiny fires, but with the help of my friends and family its been manageable.

Lots of art and making are happening and the cozy feel of fall is being to wrap itself me - I’m grateful for the feeling. Hopefully you are treating yourself with kindness and grace.

I am trying to take care of myself more and spend time in the studio and hanging out with friends and family. It makes me the most creative.

Alright - 5 things that make me happy

1. New Stickers

2. A fresh ceramic coffee mug

3. Rediscovering how much I love Muddy Waters

4. A good long walk

5. Creating in my sketchbook

If you are around the Cincinnati area, I’ve got some embroidery workshops lined up and a few Fall markets in October, November and December.
